“Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

- Luke 6:38

A message from our Director…

Greetings, Coalition of Churches in Prison Ministry (CoCiPM),

I pray that this September 2025 message finds you in good health and overall well-being.

As we continue with our theme for 2025, “Redeem the Time”, with the thought for September being “Not My Will, But Your Will, Lord be Done In Me. Let’s think about the wisdom our grandparents instilled in us. The beliefs and morals they shared with us and stood on. They labored for little to no pay yet had a work ethic that we should strive to mirror and model.

Much of their wisdom and knowledge came from the book of Proverbs. Proverbs 19 speaks of walking in integrity, honesty, and moral soundness. Our grandparents’ lives reflected these moral characters, purity, and principles. Their words have meaning, and they resonated with people of strong morals.

These days, people often say the first thing comes to mind, without considering whether it’s true or false. Fact or Fiction. This can be heard from the White House to the Shack House. People’s words can no longer be trusted; a handshake no longer is a solid agreement. What happened to the truth of words? Proverbs 19 warns man twice about a false witness. Look at the words of the wise man:

“A False witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall not escape.”

This is verse five, then verse nine says it like this,

“A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall perish.”

To live out our theme “Redeem the Time”, we must stand on the wisdom of Proverbs 19:20-21. We must hear the counsel and receive instructions that thou mayest be wiser in the latter days. Due to the many devices (plans) in a man’s heart, nevertheless, the counsel of the LORD shall stand. If we are going to redeem the time, we must walk in integrity, in moral character, and purity. We must speak God’s truth and sound principles, even during time when lies are being echoed from our Federal, State, and Local Leaders. We, the people of the Most High God, must uphold HIS divine word, HIS sound word, to tell this fallen world that HE yet lives and that there is room at the cross. Tell them HE is the savior of the world, the One True God, the Almighty!

Too much time has been wasted; as believers, we need to buy back the time. Let those we come in contact with know that He still reigns supreme, the blood still works, and you can partake in His reign now and forevermore.

Let’s redeem the time walking in our Lord’s Counsel.

Peace and Love,

Lee Brodie
