“Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
- Luke 6:38
A message from our Director…
Greetings, Coalition of Churches in Prison Ministry (CoCiPM),
I hope and pray this writing finds that all is well with you in the Lord Christ Jesus. Please allow me to thank all who attended January’s 2026 first Bi-Monthly meeting at First Thompson MBC and shout out to Reverend Arley Thomas Jr., Pastor, for opening hs doors for our first meeting in calendar year 2026.
This year, we will focus on another theme:
“From Brokenness To Blessings”
I want to thank Sis. Donna Criswell for sharing the theme and Elder Lloyd Ware for creating the scripture template to follow for each month from March to December 2026. Please view on the website at www.cocipm.org under the Ministry tab. Thank you, Bro. Derrick Johnson, for posting our 2026 Theme!
As a reminder, please be patient when working with the Coordinators. Each Unit’s Chaplin is different and may have different requirements from another unit you have previously visited. The Coordinators are only sharing with you what they are receiving from the Unit’s Chaplin. Please note that any time constraints they request from you are for the Coordinators to get the submittals to the units. If you need further clarification, we can discuss this more at the March meeting.
On March 14, 2026, Bi-Monthly Meeting is scheduled to be hosted by St. Paul Baptist Church. The address is 1600 Pear Street, Dallas, Texas 75215, where Reverend Lelious A. Johnson is the Pastor.
I hope 2026 will be an awakening for the residents we minster to. I believe we and the incarcerated, have a testimony on From Brokenness To Blessings. There are so many more biblical accounts of this in the sacred scriptures. All of them point to our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
For He was truly broken not for Himself, but for each and every one of us. His blessing is that He returned to the Father, where He sits on the right-hand making intercessions for us. Now He has all power in heaven and in the earth! We are receiving the blessings of being called servants, sons/daughters and a friend of Jesus! Even like Christ Jesus, it is the brokenness that leads to the blessings. We must understand to obtain the blessings; we must go through suffering and brokenness. On the other side of suffering/brokenness, the blessing will soften the brokenness we went through. Remember, Christ Jesus did not have to do it, but He did anyway. He was Broken for us, so what are we going to do with the cross of Christ Jesus, His brokenness? May all we do and say be for His glory and our good.
Let us proclaim to everyone about the finish work of Christ Jesus at the cross, His resurrection from the grave, and His ascension to His Father! Family, another blessing that we will reap is that He is coming back - AGAIN - for the church (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)!
Peace and Love,
Lee Brodie
